The Weight of the World and the Power of Intention
The calamity on Earth is no laughing matter. It’s heartbreaking that we experience moments of indescribable anguish and grief. None of us knows who might be next to endure one of these horrific events—but in these shifting times, there is something worth observing.
Yesterday, during my quiet time, I found myself overwhelmed with emotion. Not because of anything that happened in the moment, but because of the deep, rooted hurt I’ve been working through for over a decade. It was rising again—asking to be released. And I realized something: if I don’t release it, I’ll continue to carry the emotional residue every single day of my life. These unresolved hurts will keep surfacing—through relationships, events, and interactions—until I acknowledge and release them.
This past week, they came one after another. These traumas had an agenda, and to be honest—they succeeded. There were moments I felt the old pain rush in during conversations, and all I could do was sit and cry. Other times, events didn’t go as I expected, and I felt a heaviness in my spirit. A deep, aching desire to let go so I could finally receive something new. But old habits—born from trauma—can sabotage the blessings you’re now aligned for.
Intention Is Everything
We should be setting intentions every single day. For the week. For the month. For our income, our relationships, and our peace.
Why?
Because every time you say, write, or declare something using “I am,” it begins to shape your reality. It comes to you in the easiest or hardest way—based on what you believe. If you throw up a block, it will be blocked. If you speak doubt, it will grow. So why keep speaking cycles of lack, confusion, or self-sabotage? Why not declare what you truly want?
A Personal Story on Intentional Growth
I remember when my business partner and I met monthly to set goals. We didn’t want to pay rent out-of-pocket anymore—it was draining. I came across a video about creating a block-free life. We committed to writing down the rent amount we needed every month and reviewing what we brought in. Then we made a declaration: “We will never pay rent out-of-pocket again.”
After two months of practicing this, we didn’t. We met our goals. But here’s what we realized: we were only calling in just enough. We hadn’t learned to think in abundance yet because our old habits still had control. Those habits—rooted in fear—were blocking overflow.
This season is about releasing the habits that make you speak and think in ways you don’t actually agree with. I’m currently growing my blog, YouTube story channel, and website. There are goals I want to achieve, but I’ve noticed I haven’t been specific enough—because some of those desires still have trauma attached to them. I haven’t fully believed they’re possible, because of what I’ve experienced in the past.
But that’s changing.
Speak Life — Real Life
When I consistently wrote down my income goals and got specific about what I wanted to experience, things began to shift. Not overnight—but gradually, as my mindset adjusted. When I stopped writing intentions, my focus drifted—and I noticed the old stories creeping back in.
Let’s look at a few examples of how we can shift our words:
Old Statement:“We’re barely making rent this month because no one supported our services. People don’t have money like that anymore.”
New Statement:“This month, we’re hosting 12 paid events at $1,000 each, exceeding our rent and allowing us to pay ourselves abundantly.”
Old Statement:“There are no good men out there. I’ve seen how they treat women. I’d rather be single.”
New Statement:“As I heal, I attract healthy love. I welcome good people and the relationship that’s meant for me.”
Old Statement:“No one buys from my booth. People just walk by. Nobody wants to spend money anymore.”
New Statement:“At this event, I exceed my booth rent with joy and gratitude. I serve with excellence and attract people who see value in what I offer.”
As a vendor, I’ve had events where only 10 people stopped by, and I met my goal. Other times, 100 people passed through—and I didn’t. Why? Because I didn’t set an intention. Every time I returned to intention, I found alignment again. That’s the power of consistency. What you say will create the opportunities to match.
My Personal Intentions Right Now
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been writing intentions for growing GraceGuidance Productions and HonestChats. I’ve seen a difference. Not just in the income—but in the flow of new ideas that align with my vision. Now, I must follow through on those ideas to get to the next level.
Some of my favorite affirmations:
Everything happens for my good, even when I don’t yet see the good.
I am always in the right place at the right time.
I am divinely protected and directed—therefore danger is far from me.
I see abundance everywhere and I will not spread the lie of lack.
In Closing: Your Words Create Worlds
Things become real because we declare them as real. People explain away their struggles by blaming the economy, the industry, or other people. But we don’t have to accept or repeat narratives we can’t prove. If we each commit to setting intentions and speaking life, we will start to see our lives transform.
Stay focused, my friend. The world needs your clarity. Speak what you seek—until you see what you said.
