How To Trust The Unseen Forces

Okay—this blog might be starting off a little creepy. Is this a line from Scary Movie? That’s what I thought too when I first heard the title drop into my spirit during quiet time. But deep down, I knew exactly what I was being led to write about.

People say things like "trust the process" all the time, but let’s be honest—most of us don’t really know how to do that. And truthfully, it’s not always your fault if you’re struggling to trust in the unseen. We're wired to look for evidence, to see it before we believe it—even when we say we’re operating in faith.

But what is faith, really?

What does it feel like?

How do we know it’s working?

A Story of Unseen Trust

Let me share something personal. Back in September, during one of my quiet times, I clearly heard: “Stop paying for the van.”

Now—this van wasn’t a luxury; it was our family vehicle, essential for getting my kids and I around. At first, I thought I must have misunderstood. How could I stop paying for something so necessary? But deep down, I made peace with it. I didn’t make another payment.I know... sounds irresponsible, right?

Fast forward to January: a tow truck pulled up to my job and repossessed the van.

And here’s the crazy part—I felt relieved.

My three children and I called an Uber home, and I called my husband. His response?"We’ll make it."

Over the next two months, we always had a ride when we needed one. Friends picked us up for lunch dates, school functions, and more. I never felt embarrassed—I felt supported, protected, and deeply loved.

Then in March, my husband bought an SUV with cash—and just like that, we were back on the road.

I Had No Idea Where It Would Come From… And Then It Did

During that waiting period, I had no clue how we’d get another car or where the money would come from. But one day—it just happened. Why?

Because I trusted the process. I acted in obedience, and the quiet whisper I heard months earlier paid off in a beautiful way.

Truthfully, I had been told five months before to stop making those payments—but it took me that long to mentally release the van. And one day, I’ll share the full story of how I even got that van during the pandemic, with no job and no down payment. (Well... I guess I just told you a little bit.)

So, How Do You Trust the Unseen?

Here’s what I learned:

1. Obey the Nudge

We receive little nudges all the time. Trusting the unseen starts with listening and obeying. I was stuck, and I needed something in my life to be released. But that shift didn’t come until I was willing to get uncomfortable.

2. Forgive Yourself and Make Peace With the Unknown

I had to make sure I was good with my soul. I thought my kids would be hurt or embarrassed—but they were just fine. As long as they could walk to the store and buy candy, they were good!I forgave myself and trusted what I heard. That was key.

3. Stay Focused on Abundance, Not Loss

I created a vision board and visited it daily. I needed to stay rooted in the mindset of abundance, not lack. When you focus on what’s missing, emotions run wild. But when you focus on what’s possible, peace and clarity come easier.

Final Thoughts

Trusting the unseen doesn’t mean you have it all figured out. It means you’re willing to believe in something greater than what you can see right now. Whether you call it faith, intuition, or divine guidance—it’s already working on your behalf. Your only job? Listen. Obey. Trust. And stay rooted in abundance.
